SENDAI（June 27, 2024）— AI SILK, a Japanese smart textile and wearable-tech startup, has accepted additional investment from Fukuda Denshi Co., Ltd. (https://fukuda.com/), strengthening its collaboration.

Use of funds:
AI SILK’s high-performance conductive textile “LEAD SKIN®” is in high demand worldwide as a material for various wearable devices and in-vehicle parts. On the other hands, with this additional investment from Fukuda Denshi and strengthening of the collaborative relationship, AI SILK aims to expand sales of medical conductive textile, which it positions as one of its future main businesses.

AI SILK is a Tohoku University spinoff that develops various wearable products using their proprietary and patented technology to produce smooth conductive textile, turning them into electrodes.
